State Company for Dairy Production, one of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals State Companies concluded a contract with American side to supply Mousel Dairy Plant which affiliates to the company with two complete line to produce and packing yogurt and cream at a value of (1) million and (200) thousand U.S. $. Mr. Yousif Noori Taher The company General Director showed that the company is continuing in performing the projects to increase the company production reality and achieving its plans where (1) million U.S. $ was allocated by American side to rehabilitate Al Zedan Centre to collect and cooling the milk as well as rehabilitate milk collecting and cooling centre at A l Suwera according to the concluded contracts between the company and State Company for Animal Wealth Serving and International Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), adding that the work is continuing in rehabilitate Sammara Centre for milk collecting and cooling which is at the final stage. The General Director added that the company concluded with international companies to import equipments and machines to increase the company production capacity where (2) cream naturalize, Ice Cream line, steam boilers at (5) tons/hour capacity and (2) generators at (1000 KVA), were supplied in addition to purchase packing and covering materials for (100) tons of cheese, referring that the company purchased (3) forklift at (3.5) ton capacity and purchase (6) cooling cars and (4) service cars directly from the State Company for Automotives. It is to be noted that the State Company for Dairy Production was established on 1956 with the assistance of UNISEF with one production line for pestered milk the company successfully continues its production of (pestered milk, fruit milk, fresh and cooked cheese, butter, cream, yogurt in addition to baby milk).
