State Company for Iron and Steel, one of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals State Companies signed preliminary memorandum of understanding to establish new Iron and Steel Plant with (STX) Korean Company at (3) million ton where the proposed project cost is (3) billion U.S.$. A spokesman at the company clarified to MIM information bureau that after a negotiation with Korean side on establishing new plant in addition to establishing power station at 500 mega watt capacities a preliminary memorandum of understanding was signed contains the company requirements to be study by the Korean side. On a related context radial pollution removal project was initiated at steel plant from waste down the second and third fern as well as another contract to remove redial pollution with the State Company for Mining Industries at a value of (408) million I.D. and other contract to supply concrete with Al Fayha Company for Concrete Production at a value of (22.5) million I.D. in addition to the company staff under take manufacturing (40) containers in which spoiled soil to be loaded for rags. The spokesman added that the company announced a tender to rehabilitate and upgrade Sponge iron, steel and millroling which affiliate to the state company at Khur Al Zuber. It is to be noted that the company rehabilitated iron pipe plant within the 2008 - 2009 investment plan where the equipment of the first stage of the contract signed with (w+k) German Company whose value was (7.530.000) Euro as a part of the contract value (10.930.000) Euro, were supplied, and the company staff installed and operated these equipment where the experimental operation was done to produce spiral wilding iron pipe.
